CHAITYABHUMI UK

A PLACE FOR SILENCE

About Us

Chaityabhumi Buddhist Centre UK is being created as a space for silence, reflection, and mindful presence within a fast and demanding world.

It is not a centre of one country, culture, or tradition. It is a shared ground — a place where anyone, from any background, can pause, sit quietly, and reconnect with themselves.

Inspired by the Buddhist tradition of creating spaces for contemplation rather than instruction, Chaityabhumi offers stillness without expectation.

A place to breathe.
A place to sit.
A place to return to yourself.

Vision

A calm space to pause, breathe, and reconnect — free from pressure, labels, or expectations.

In a world shaped by speed, stress, and quiet exhaustion, Chaityabhumi UK exists to offer stillness, reflection, and inner balance.

Inspired by the values of Buddha Dhamma — compassion, mindfulness, wisdom, and peace — it is open to everyone. Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike are welcome to sit in silence and simply be.

Why UK, Why Now

The UK is a global crossroads — rich in diversity, yet increasingly short on quiet spaces.

Modern life has accelerated faster than the human mind can adapt, leading to rising stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue across individuals and communities.

Chaityabhumi UK responds by offering a calm space for silence, meditation, and reflection — a refuge for individuals and communities, and a peaceful place for present and future generations.

The Plan

The project envisions phased development across twelve acres of land — beginning with a meditation hall and gradually expanding into a self-sustaining, contemplative campus guided by restraint and clarity.

Transparency

Transparency is a core value of Chaityabhumi UK.

All donations are used solely to develop, maintain, and operate the centre for public benefit. Funds are managed responsibly, held securely, and never used for private gain.

We are committed to openness. Financial summaries, project progress, and major updates will be shared publicly on this website, with oversight in line with UK charity governance standards.
